Our Story
The Organisation was founded in 2015 and officially registered in 2018. Nadia founded the organisation in the south of Johannesburg upon witnessing the countless labourers waiting at different traffic lights in the hope of a day job. She started by cooking pots of soup and distributing the soup and bread every Saturday to these guys. Then taking onboard an oldage home with 20 individual cottages with 2 occupants each. This carried on for a number years until she moved back to her city of birth, Kimberley. She then officially registered the NPO (215-765 NPO) with the Department of Social Development in 2018 when she saw the need for a soup kitchen in her community of Roodepan. It has been operational since. The feeding scheme is named after her late mother Clara Sampson who instilled the love of giving and community in Nadia

Our Mission
Our MISSION is simple: to feed people in need regardless of their circumstances. The Soup Kitchen provides healthy and nutritious meals to all who come through our doors. We are committed to improving the quality of life and restoring the dignity o f those we serve when providing a hot meal to any member of our community in need of one.
Organisational Vision
Our VISION is to assure that no one goes hungry, that no food is wasted in our community and no one is denied the opportunity or assistance to become self-sufficient.

What we Do
We prepare and cook healthy meals for more than 250 beneficiaries twice weekly. We also source different items needed by our beneficiaries like winter or summer clothes, school shoes for the boys and girls who needs then, wheelchairs for our disabled beneficiaries and collect sanitary towels for our young girls in need in order for them not to miss out on school days. We also collect fresh veggies which is distributed to our beneficiaries weekly. Throughout the year we have numerous special projects like our love box project at the end of the year where we collect shoe boxes and fill them with basics for our boys and girls. articles such as soap, wash cloths, tooth paste, tooth brushes, a soft toy and some sweets are packed neatly and these boxes goes to kids under 12 as Christmas gifts.
